Job summary

Smart Precise Solutions, Inc. is seeking Project Engineers to lead facilities, infrastructure, utilities and mechanical systems projects from design through commissioning in regulated manufacturing environments in Puerto Rico.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, review drawings and specifications, manage scope, schedule and budget, and ensure compliance with EHS and GMP standards while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of project engineering experience.
• Proficient in Office 365 and blueprint reading.
• Willingness to travel for project-related work.

• Manage projects from start to finish: scope, schedule, budget and close-out.
• Prepare SOWs, specifications and cost estimates.
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings and equipment quotations.
• Oversee construction, installation, inspections, testing, start-up and field commissioning.
• For mechanical positions: lead HVAC, utilities and process equipment projects, and support qualification with the C&Q team.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety (EHS) and engineering standards.

Job description

At SPS, we’re looking for Project Engineers to lead facilities, infrastructure, utilities and mechanical systems projects from start to finish, from design through commissioning. You’ll work in regulated manufacturing environments alongside multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers and design firms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from start to finish: scope, schedule, budget and close-out.
• Prepare SOWs, specifications and cost estimates.
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings and equipment quotations.
• Oversee construction, installation, inspections, testing, start-up and field commissioning.
• For mechanical positions: lead HVAC, utilities and process equipment projects, and support qualification activities with the C&Q team.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety (EHS) and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, depending on the position.
• 3-5 years of project engineering experience.
• Proficient in Office 365 and blueprint reading.
• Available for field work, extended hours and project-related travel.

You’ll Stand Out If You Have

• EIT or PE license.
• PMP or OSHA certifications.
• Experience with MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Experience in GMP or cleanroom environments.
• For mechanical positions: knowledge of HVAC, compressed air, purified water or other critical utilities.
