EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC is seeking a Project Engineer with civil and/or environmental engineering expertise to support design and construction projects in Rhode Island. The role requires independent task management, collaboration with project managers and senior engineers, and delivery on schedule and budget while upholding high technical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of construction-related experience (oversight, inspection, or administration).
• Experience with project scheduling, cost estimating, and procurement.
• Strong understanding of civil/environmental design and construction practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel regionally to project sites, with occasional travel beyond the region.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of civil/environmental engineering projects from planning through construction.
• Prepare and review design plans, specifications, reports, and submittals.
• Assist with project scheduling, cost estimating, and budgeting.
• Support development of contract documents, bid packages, and procurement efforts.
• Perform and/or oversee construction administration tasks, including submittal and shop drawing review, RFIs, site inspections, and change orders.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to support project delivery.
• Participate in field activities such as site inspections, sampling, and contractor oversight.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
