Job summary

MSA Professional Services in Baraboo, WI, is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee electrical engineering projects from concept to completion across multiple offices (Baraboo, Madison, Dubuque, Duluth, Beaver Dam).

You will perform engineering calculations, use GIS and BIM tools, review documents, and liaise with clients and contractors. A PE license is required, with at least four years of post-graduate experience, and the role offers an ESOP-friendly, collaboratively engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Four years of relevant, post-graduate mechanical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
• Proficiency with digital tools such as GIS, BIM, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal and mentoring abilities.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Professional Engineering License Required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects to ensure they are completed according to the contract.
• Communicates professionally with clients, contractors and builds ongoing business relationships.
• Perform engineering calculations for the analysis, study, and design of specific project aspects.
• Utilize GIS, BIM, and other tools for project analysis, study, and design.
• Assist in creating cost estimates for projects.
• Instruct technicians on drafting for the projects you design.
• Conduct field investigations or inspections ranging from visual observations to detailed measurements.
