Job summary

Qayaq Construction seeks a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager with directing and coordinating multiple construction projects on site. You will interpret plans, prepare budgets, and monitor progress to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery in line with company goals.

The role requires collaboration with architects, consultants, clients, and Subcontractors, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• One or two years of experience in heavy civil construction.
• Familiarity with Heavy Job Daily Field Reporting Software.
• Familiarity with Submittal Registers and Submittal Process.
• Familiarity with Heavy Bid Estimating and Heavy Job Construction Software.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Read and accurately interpret project plans and specifications for proper execution.
• Assist Project Manager with planning and implementation of multiple projects.
• Assist with contracts, negotiations, and changes to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
• Assist with submitting budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
• Track project reports including daily reports, labor reports, submittals, and schedules.
