Socket.dev is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives, ensuring projects stay within budget and schedule. You will uphold standards by researching regulations and developing implementation plans.

The role requires coordinating between field teams and subcontractors, leading customer reviews, managing budgets, and reporting progress weekly. Experience in engineering/construction and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering and/or construction.
• Experience in chemical industry (preferred).
• General construction knowledge (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical design and engineering of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with scope and successful project completion.
• Review and select process equipment, vendors, and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate between field construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring the integrity of the engineering design.
• Lead customer reviews, addressing technical concerns and ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Collaborate with Plant Manager to resolve issues that arise
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and systems, applying Lean methodologies and concepts.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Promote safety through proper design of processes and equipment selection
• Follow safety protocols and practices while working in the plant.
• Submit weekly progress reports to senior management.
• Manage project budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, meeting customer expectations.
• Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience
