The Project Engineer will oversee planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to schedule. This role includes upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Oversee the technical design and engineering of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with scope and successful project completion.
  • Review and select process equipment, vendors, and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
  • Leverage engineering expertise to coordinate between field construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring the integrity of the engineering design.
  • Lead customer reviews, addressing technical concerns and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate with Plant Manager to resolve issues that arise
  • Collaborate in teams to drive continuous improvement of processes and systems, applying Lean methodologies and concepts.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Promote safety through proper design of processes and equipment selection
  • Follow safety protocols and practices while working in the plant.
  • Submit weekly progress reports to senior management.
  • Manage project budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, meeting customer expectations.
  • Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements

  • Ability to oversee and manage projects from design to completion

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work effectively in remote settings

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering and/or construction.
  • General construction knowledge (preferred).
  • Experience in chemical industry (preferred).
