Job summary

Linde plc in Research Triangle Park, NC, is seeking a project-focused engineer to drive capital project execution from pre-feasibility to turnover. You will collaborate with operations, suppliers, and contractors and manage baseline schedules with Project Managers to ensure timely delivery.

Responsibilities include defining process diagrams, writing specifications, and handling purchasing across multiple projects while maintaining compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical.
• Proficient in CAD software for creating technical drawings.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite for documentation and communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Commitment to operational discipline, compliance, and health & safety focus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, third-party engineering, equipment suppliers, and onsite contractors through all phases of capital project execution from pre-feasibility to commissioning and turnover.
• Develop and maintain baseline project schedules in partnership with Project Managers to ensure timely execution.
• Execute purchasing activities and track project-related expenditures across multiple projects.
• Partner with process engineers to develop process flow diagrams and charter-level design documents supporting order-of-magnitude estimates.
• Author project specifications, subcontractor scopes of work, and request for quotation documents to support control estimates.
• Provide technical guidance to plant operations, project teams, and process engineers as part of project and technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, company standards, and policies throughout project lifecycle.
• Manage multiple project assignments simultaneously while upholding operational discipline and safety culture.
