Job summary

INEOS Oxide in Pasadena seeks a Project Engineer to support Project Managers on larger capital projects, acting as a technical owner interfacing with engineering firms. Typical project scopes range from $2,000k to $30,000k, with some projects managed end-to-end from development through start-up.

You will coordinate with site engineers, operations, procurement and contractors to design, procure and build equipment, ensuring safety and design integrity while meeting start-up dates and budgets.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of chemical plant experience.
• Project experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with SAP and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Interface with engineering firms to deliver capital projects.
• Provide technical ownership from basic to detailed engineering.
• Lead project scope, budget, and schedule development.
• Ensure safety standards and HSE performance on projects.
• Coordinate resources across site engineers, operations, procurement and construction.
• Maintain unit technical records and vendor interfaces.
