Job summary

McShane Construction Company in Nashville, TN is seeking a Project Engineer to support preconstruction, project controls, scheduling, and safety on multi-family, industrial, and commercial projects.

You’ll build skills in cost tracking, RFI management, submittals, and client coordination while upholding McShane quality standards and a strong safety program. This full-time, in-office role offers growth opportunities in a collaborative, national contractor environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field; internship preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, design consultants and trade partners.
• Proficiency with construction management software including Salus, PlanGrid, and MS Office.
• Full-time, in-office position; US work authorization required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings and understand scope duringPreconstruction phase.
• Assist in bid tab evaluation and PQM process for subcontractors.
• Create and manage project controls documents, including RFIs, submittals, and meetings minutes.
• Support job cost reporting and Applications for Payment to the owner.
• Contribute to safety planning and weekly jobsite safety audits.
