Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Engineer to lead air quality compliance and permitting projects, including NSR and Title V, from Oak Ridge, TN. The role interfaces with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders while developing emissions calculations, inventories, and regulatory reports.

The position requires 7+ years in environmental engineering or regulatory compliance, a 4-year engineering degree, and strong knowledge of air quality regulations.

• Air quality compliance experience required.
• Engineering, scientific, or relevant 4-year degree required.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of environmental engineering or regulatory compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of air quality regulations, permitting, emissions calculations and compliance reporting.
• Experience managing technical projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

• Develop emissions calculations, emissions inventories, regulatory reports, and compliance documentation.
• Interpret federal, state, and local air quality regulations and advise clients on compliance requirements.
• Manage projects from proposal development through execution, including scope, schedule, and budget oversight.
• Interface directly with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Support proposal preparation, technical writing, and business development activities.
• Provide occasional support on broader environmental compliance projects involving water, waste, and other regulatory programs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Oak Ridge, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
