Job summary

TTI Group in Anderson, SC is seeking a Project Engineer III – Value Engineering to lead cross-functional VE initiatives that cut costs while maintaining performance, durability, and user value.

You will work with global engineering, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and product management to drive VE strategy and execution, requiring a BS in engineering and 4+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience managing product development or Value Engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with DFMA, cost modeling, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with global suppliers and overseas manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and simulation techniques.
• Ability to manage several simultaneous projects to aggressive schedules and results.
• 10% international travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple Value Engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Drive product teardowns, benchmarking, cost modeling, and opportunity identification.
• Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead technical tradeoff discussions focused on cost, performance, and schedule.
• Interface with global suppliers to develop cost-effective design solutions within process capabilities.
• Validate alternative materials, components, and supplier proposals.
• Coordinate qualification testing to ensure safety, durability, and performance requirements.
• Track project progress and provide regular updates to leadership on savings, risks, and timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance, Product Management, etc.) to ensure successful implementation.
• Support production and continuous improvement initiatives across global manufacturing locations.
