Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking a seasoned professional to lead capital projects in the chemical and petrochemical sectors. You will oversee technical direction, coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction efforts, and support the Project Manager in delivering projects on time and within budget.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a degree in engineering, and PE or PMP registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing capital projects at a chemical, petrochemical, or petroleum refining plant.
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Registration: PE and/or PMP registration is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership of a project and support the Project Manager in managing project performance (cost, schedule, client satisfaction).
• Develop, implement, monitor, and control assigned capital projects from conceptual engineering through startup.
• Perform or lead all engineering, procurement, and construction tasks on assigned projects.
• Sign permits onsite at an industrial location is beneficial and may be required.

What You'll Be DoingJob Scope: Responsible for technical leadership of a project as well as for supporting the Project Manager in managing project performance of the engineering team with respect to cost, schedule and Client satisfaction. This work will be performed under minimal supervision.Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Performs project, engineering, and construction managementDevelops, implements, monitors, and controls assigned capital projects from conceptual engineering through startupPerforms or leads all engineering, procurement, and construction tasks on assigned projectsPerforms any other tasks assigned by supervisorHas at least 5 years of experience managing capital projects at a chemical, petrochemical, or petroleum refining plantA knowledge or background of signing permits onsite at an industrial location is beneficial as this may be required as part of the job duties for this role.Ideal BackgroundEducation: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required.Registration: Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) registration is highly preferred.
