Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead facility engineering projects from concept through commissioning for upstream operations.
  • Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation and contractor selection.
  • Participate in identification and sourcing of long lead equipment, assuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support until equipment is assigned to the contractor.
  • Coordinate development of Capital Project Management System Gate 3 deliverables.
  • Coordinate development of Functional Interaction Plan.
  • Coordinate project issues resolution process.
  • Coordinate change requests and endorse change authorization.
  • Ensure completion of assigned work scope consistent with project objectives.
  • Manage engineering contractors and third-party service providers.
  • Oversee skid modularization design and execution.
  • Direct fabrication shop activities and coordinate with fabricators.
  • Manage construction and commissioning activities for upstream facilities.
  • Engage Project Team and functional resources to verify that design and construction is consistent with project specifications and standards.
  • Serve as interface between Project Team and Contractor.
  • Ensure smooth transitions between project stages.
  • Lead Project Management Team (PMT) in applying Project Management Systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, technical, and business teams.
  • Resolve conflicts and facilitate team alignment on project objectives.
  • Ensure projects meet technical, schedule, and budget requirements.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineering Project Manager to join our team in supporting upstream oil and gas operations. This role focuses on facility engineering and project management for unconventional and conventional upstream assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing engineering contractors, modularization efforts, and fabrication/construction activities. This fast-paced position requires a self-starter who can adapt to tight deadlines and changing priorities. This position is based in Williston, ND, with consideration for exceptional candidates located in Houston, TX.



Main Functions:

Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems. Provides technical support for the engineering process. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Back up responsibilities for the Project Manager as required.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) - Required

  • 5-25 years of relevant industry experience

  • Oil and gas facilities and projects experience - Required

  • Upstream unconventional and/or conventional experience preferred (downstream experience may be considered)

  • Experience in multiple assignments in engineering, construction, and project management and controls activities

  • Proven experience in facility engineering and project management

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing engineering contractors

  • Multi-discipline skill set with broad range of experience through multiple function and project assignments

  • Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications, and work processes

  • Strong knowledge of skid modularization processes

  • Experience managing fabrication shops and construction activities

  • Background in commissioning upstream facilities

  • Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent collaboration and team-building capabilities

  • Proven team player with ability to work effectively with diverse groups

  • Strong organizational, coordination, planning, and interface skills

  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities

  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to read, write, and speak fluent English

  • Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs



Preferred Location: Williston, ND (Houston, TX considered for strong candidates)


Schedule: M-F, 40 hour per week


Pay: 100/hr for level II and 120/hr for level III
