Job summary

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer in West Palm Beach, FL to coordinate schedules, track milestones, and manage project documentation with DoD clearance. You will work with Jira, MS Project, SAP and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree and 1–4 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and analytical skills, and a readiness to work on-site in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent required.
• 1–4 years relevant work experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Project, Jira, Confluence, SAP; experience with Teamcenter PLM helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project scheduling and milestones in Jira, MS Project, or SAP.
• Create catalogs and documents in a searchable file (Excel, Access, or other); maintain consistent nomenclature.
• Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to address technical shortfalls and add content as needed.
• Review documents for completeness and coordinate approvals and sign-offs; upload to Confluence.
• Gather engineering data to develop review presentations showing problem statements, changes, and options.
• Support review meetings with scheduling, presentations, and action-item closure.

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is actively hiring Project Engineers to coordinate engineering project schedules, documentation, technical reviews, change implementation, and stakeholder activities to keep projects on track, maintain traceability, and ensure milestones, budgets, and deliverables are met.

Location : West Palm Beach, FL

Clearance: Existing or ability to obtain DoD Secret/Collateral clearance

In this Role, you will:

• Lead and coordinate project scheduling and milestones in tools like Jira, MS Project, or SAP
• Create catalogs documents in a searchable file (Excel, Access, or other); update files to a clear, common nomenclature
• Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to fix technical shortfalls and add content where needed
• Review documents for completeness and coordinate approval and sign offs of design and review documentation, upload into appropriate systems like Confluence
• Gather engineering technical data to develop Review presentations containing: problem statement / reason for change, solution options and drawings / documents to be changed
• Support Review meetings, including scheduling, presentations, and assist in closure of action items
• Maintain traceability in Product Data Management system like Siemens Teamcenter
• Assist in development of change implementation schedule, tasks, milestones, delivery dates and lead times in tools like SAP, Primavera and MS Project.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to assess cost and schedule of projects against plan
• Develop weekly status reports including: current status, setting priorities, addressing issues, calculating performance against schedule and budget
• Familiar with Agile Project Management and Scrum

Requirements:

The successful candidate is detail oriented and highly collaborative. There will be a significant amount of interaction with the customer’s teams. Listening to the customer’s issues and offering proactive solutions is critical to building a strong relationship with this new customer.

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field
• 1-4 years relevant work experience
• Have excellent computer skills, working in the following programs: MS Sharepoint, Excel, Outlook, Access, Project and Powerpoint. Also, Jira, Confluence, and SAP
• Work well in a fast paced, team oriented, collaborative environment like Siemens Teamcenter PLM
• Aim to add creativity to a program that endures long after our working years
• You are independent, forward-thinking, and detail oriented, and you enjoy working with aerospace professionals in dynamic, diverse teams
• Existing or ability to obtain DoD Secret/Collateral clearance

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• On-site Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
• Great communication skills via telephone, video conferencing and MS Teams.
• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
• Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks. core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM (some 9-80)
• Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
• Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen
