Talent Management Specialist at Claro Enterprise Solutions

Our team seeks a Bilingual Spanish Project Engineer (PE) to serve as the primary technical contact during Claro telecommunications project implementation. The PE collaborates with Program and Project Managers, Pre-Sales Engineers, clients, third parties, and Service Assurance Engineers to ensure technical solutions are sound and correctly executed. This role coordinates cross‑functional telecom engineering teams and handles detailed project implementation.

As the technical lead, the PE troubleshoots issues during implementation and may assist throughout the project lifecycle. Fluency in English and Spanish is required to discuss complex telecommunications needs with diverse audiences. Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential. The position demands responsibility, a goal‑oriented mindset, and a customer‑focused approach.

Telecommunications Solution Analysis
  • Understand complex telecom technical solutions proposed by different teams, including mostly MPLS, SD‑WAN, P2P, and Internet elements.
  • Understand modern telecom backbone design, as well as customer’s end solution designs.
  • Identify flaws, improvements or propose different technical solutions.
  • Identify potential technical risks, solutions, and workarounds needed to meet and exceed customers’ expectations before and during implementation.
  • Propose configuration standards.
Solution Implementation
  • Communicate with the Project Manager and customers as the technical lead.
  • Define technical configurations that meet project standards within the project's scope.
  • Identify diverse equipment operating software and firmware requirements as well as their respective necessary licenses.
  • Define the methods, procedures, and resources required to implement activities.
  • Coordinate interactions among different systems and engineers across several countries.
  • Attend testing and implementation calls and/or online meetings.
  • Discuss technical issues, solutions, and workarounds with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Configure and operate monitoring systems.
  • Adhere to customers’ schedules mostly in Latin America.
  • Position yourself as the primary technical lead to troubleshoot issues that may arise during implementation.
  • Ensure the final technical solution is delivered within the project scope and in accordance with internal standards.
  • Ensure the customer acceptance of the implemented technical solution.
Automation
  • Automate repetitive implementation tasks to minimize manual intervention during implementation and activation.
Documentation
  • Use several IT tools to document project requirements, changes, and final solutions.
  • Manage documentation efficiently to meet tight delivery deadlines.
  • Prepare special technical reports in standard and non-standard formats.
  • Document all technical information needed for a clean implementation and transition to maintenance teams in different countries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Systems Engineering Required
  • 2+ years of customer interface experience in the related area required
Skills Required
  • Expertise in troubleshooting the following routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP. High
  • Expertise in troubleshooting: MPLS, QoS, IPv6, IP Multicast, SD‑WAN. High
  • Knowledge of various scripting languages (i.e., Perl, Python, Shell). Low
  • Proficient with wireline copper and fiber network technology. Medium
  • Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP networking. High
Language Skills
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required
Licenses and Certifications
  • CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional Upon Hire Preferred
  • Cisco CCIP and Juniper JUNOS Certification upon hire, preferred.
