Job summary

IBDC is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead telecom projects from inception to completion on-site in Aurora. You will coordinate planning, budgets, timelines, and governance while interfacing with government units for compliance.

The role requires 3+ years in telecom, ECE licensure, and willingness to work nights and Saturdays, with driving license preferred. On-site work with health benefits and standard company leave policies included.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, with ECE licensure.
  • 3+ years of telecom experience or equivalent industry exposure.
  • Willing to be assigned outside Metro Manila and to work nights.
  • Willing to work Mondays to Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of telecom projects from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with ROW Officers and LGUs/DPWH for compliance.
  • Serve as primary client contact; manage emails and meetings.
  • Use AutoCAD to design project layouts and ensure accurate implementation.
  • Develop governance, processes, and documentation for structured project delivery.
  • Define KPIs across milestones and provide daily/weekly reports.
  • Identify risks and manage budgets to keep costs under control.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Project Implementation:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of Telecom/HDD projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure projects meet defined objectives, timelines, and budgets.

2. Assist in Permitting and Compliance:

  • Collaborate with the ROW (Right-of-Way) Officer for compliance.
  • Interface with LGUs (Local Government Units) and DPWH (Department of Public Works and Highways) during project implementation to ensure compliance with regulations.

3. Client Interaction:

  • Serve as the point of contact for client representatives, managing emails, queries, and concerns.
  • Conduct meetings with clients’ representatives to provide updates and gather requirements.

4. Design and Implementation:

  • Use AutoCAD to create project designs and oversee their execution.
  • Ensure designs are implemented accurately during the project lifecycle.

5. Governance and Reporting:

  • Develop governance models, processes, and documentation to ensure structured project implementation.
  • Define and monitor KPIs across various project milestones, including Design, Permitting, Implementation, PAT (Provisional Acceptance Testing), and RFS (Ready for Service).
  • Provide detailed daily and weekly reports to both internal teams and external clients.

6. Risk Management and Quality Control:

  • Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained across all project deliverables.
  • Task Delegation and Budget Monitoring.
  • Delegate tasks to team members effectively.
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure costs are kept under control.

7. Support Functions:

  • Assist with project estimation, bidding, and other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A graduate of Electronics and Communications Engineering or equivalent courses
  • Licensed ECE (required)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience under telecom companies
  • Willing to be assigned outside Metro Manila
  • Willing to work Mondays to Saturdays and on night shifts
  • Preferably knows how to drive and with valid driving license
