Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Engineer for Brentwood, TN to apply engineering and scientific principles in solid waste assignments. You will prepare calculations, drawings, and permit applications, and independently handle problems while coordinating work.

Travel to conferences and client meetings is possible. Essential skills include project management, environmental engineering, and landfill/waste management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the solid waste industry, including landfill gas management, air compliance, and landfill design and permitting.
  • Tennessee EI registration (preferably civil) required or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.
  • Competency in using MS Office and environmental consulting software; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Job Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles in the solid waste assignment areas and related fields. The role involves preparing engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications. You will work independently on engineering or scientific problems, coordinating and planning work effectively.

Work Environment

The role requires both fieldwork and office-based tasks. Fieldwork will be performed in varied terrains and weather conditions, necessitating a high level of adaptability. Office tasks will include CAD drafting and report writing. The position involves business development activities, and candidates may need to travel for conferences and meetings. Professional attire is expected in client-facing situations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Brentwood, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.50 - $40.87/hr.
