Job summary

3Vi seeks a Project Engineer to join our Seattle practice. Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply and will join a collaborative team delivering electrical design for diverse projects.

You will produce NEC/NFPA 70E compliant calculations, lighting designs, ETAP studies, and AGi32 lighting simulations, while coordinating with the project team and preparing reports. A ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering and EIT eligibility within a year are required; ETAP/Autodesk experience is a

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited U.S. program.
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
  • Experience with ETAP or Autodesk is a plus.

  • Prepare lighting simulations in AGi32.
  • Prepare ETAP studies.
  • Participate in weekly project-team meetings.
  • Prepare markups of electrical drawings and technical reports.
  • Create spreadsheets and PowerPoint slides as needed.
  • Read, interpret, and implement requirements from manuals and specs.
  • Review shop drawings and product data sheets.
  • Participate in meetings in-person and via Teams.

Job description

3Vi is a growing engineering practice headquartered in San Ramon, CA, with branches throughout California and the U.S. We have an opening for a Project Engineer to join our Seattle practice. Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Produce electrical calculations and designs in accordance with NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, local codes, and design criteria manual. Electrical calculations may include volt drop, lighting designs, motor starting, conduit and wire sizing.
  • Prepare lighting simulations in AGi32
  • Prepare ETAP studies
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the project team
  • Prepare markups electrical drawings and draft technical reports
  • Prepare spreadsheets and PowerPoint slides, as needed.
  • Must be motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team to meet the project deadlines.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and implement requirements derived from manuals and electrical specifications.
  • Review shop drawings and product data sheets is required
  • Participate in meetings in-person and over Teams

Qualifications

  • NCEES (Engineer-in-Training) EIT or ability to obtain within one year of hire
  • Prior experience with ETAP or Autodesk is a plus
Compensation

W2 $70,000 - $88,000 annually
