Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an entry‑level Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with planning and daily execution of construction projects. You will help maintain schedules, manage submittal approvals, and coordinate timely material delivery to ensure quality, profitability, and compliance with our Safety/Zero Harm culture.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of related experience or relevant internship, with strong PC and MS Office

Qualifications

• Entry-level Project Engineer role supporting PM and Senior Engineer.
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, and change orders preferred.
• Strong scheduling and coordination skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Senior Engineer with planning and daily execution.
• Maintain project schedule and budgets to ensure quality and profitability.
• Coordinate timely delivery of materials and submittal approvals.
• Assist with RFI, change orders, and meeting minutes.
• Support a safety culture and project teamwork.

Summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. This entry‑level position assists the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with the planning and daily execution of construction projects. Responsibilities include maintaining the project schedule, managing submittal approvals, coordinating timely delivery of materials, and maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed with quality, profitability, and compliance with our Safety/Zero Harm culture.

Essential Functions

• Preconstruction Services
• Project Start‑up and Scheduling
• Project Administration, Coordination, and Close‑out
• Promote Customer Relations
• Promote Culture, Leadership, and Employee Development
• Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)

Preferred Experience

• One to three years of previous working experience and/or one six‑month intern co‑op with a construction company
• RFI

• Assisting with sub‑contractor meeting minutes
