Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Engineer located in San Antonio, TX.

Qualifications: Drainage Engineer position

CIVITAS Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a motivated H&H / Drainage Engineer with 7–10 years of experience to support and lead, depending on experience level, TxDOT transportation drainage and Houston-region flood management projects. The position will involve hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, roadway and storm sewer drainage design, culvert and channel analysis, detention and flood mitigation, floodplain studies, and preparation of drainage components for TxDOT PS&E packages. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Texas PE licensure preferred as appropriate to experience level. Experience with HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS, HY-8, OpenRoads/MicroStation, Civil 3D, and stormwater modeling tools is desirable, along with familiarity with TxDOT and Houston-area agencies such as HCFCD, Harris County, HCTRA, City of Houston, and Fort Bend County. The position offers opportunities for hands‑on technical work, multidisciplinary coordination, client interaction, QA/QC, mentoring, and progression into technical and project leadership roles.

• Strong understanding of Electrical Engineering principles and their practical application

• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring project deliverables
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas is highly desirable
• Ability to analyze project requirements and provide innovative engineering solutions
