Job summary

Corbins, part of the Nox Group family, seeks a driven Project Engineer to contribute to the construction of pivotal Southwest projects including commercial, industrial, and data center facilities. You will coordinate with PMs and Superintendents, mentor Field Engineers, and manage procurement, schedules, and cost controls to drive project success.

The role emphasizes collaboration with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers, while ensuring safety and quality standards across project work streams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Manager and Superintendent to support project success and safety/quality culture.
• Mentor and develop Field Engineers.
• Manage costs, forecasting, and procurement activities including PO, subcontracts, change orders.
• Procure all materials/equipment and ensure submittals and RFIs meet requirements.
• Support the project schedule development and forecasting.
• Assist PM with resolving commercial matters with owners, subs, and suppliers; price change orders.
• Ensure Field Engineer has current project docs (drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs).
• Lead permit applications and renewals as required.
• Participate in daily and weekly project meetings.
• Generate weekly production reports and lead productivity meetings.
• Review and process subcontractor and supplier invoices.
• Prepare monthly progress reports for PM review.
• Assist PM with assembling monthly owner payment applications.
• Maintain positive relationships with owners, engineers, trade partners; ensure contractual compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates directly with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent to support project success, including fostering a positive safety and quality culture
• Mentors and develop Field Engineers
• Champions cost management, forecasting and control, including issuance of purchase orders, subcontract agreements, change orders, etc.
• Champions the procurement of all materials and equipment associated within their assigned scope, including all submittals, and ensures compliance with the project requirements
• Champions the procurement schedule and participates in overall project schedule development and forecasting
• Assists the Project Manager with resolving commercial matters with owners, subcontractors and suppliers, as well as pricing owner change orders
• Ensures the Field Engineer possesses the most current project documents, including drawings, specifications, submittals, requests for information (RFIs), etc.
• Champions construction permit applications and renewals, as required by the project
• Actively participates in daily and weekly project meetings
• Generates weekly production reports and champions weekly productivity meetings
• Reviews and processes subcontractor and supplier invoices
• Generates monthly project progress reports for the Project Manager’s review
• Assists the Project Manager with assembling monthly owner payment applications
• Develops and preserves a positive business relationship with owners, clients, engineers and trade partners while ensuring contractual compliance with all parties

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering and a minimum of two (2) years of relative construction experience as a Field Engineer, Field Superintendent or similar
• Extensive relative construction experience will be considered in lieu of formal education

• The inherent responsibilities of your role may include physical working conditions. In order to safely and successfully perform job duties you must be able to:
• Potentially lift up to 50 pounds
• Potentially need to do repeated pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching (or working above shoulder), walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing
• Potentially operate a motor vehicle, crane, tractor, etc.
