U-Haul International Inc. is seeking an experienced commercial Project Engineer for new multi-story self-storage projects and building reuse in Phoenix, AZ.

The role involves preparing construction budgets, reviewing estimates, and assisting with project scheduling while coordinating with owners representatives, contractors, and engineers. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in construction management, a college degree or higher, and strong planning, time management, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in construction management.

• Must coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong resource, planning and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with owners reps, contractors, architects/engineers and city officials.
• Track projects, scheduling, on-site inspections, and close-out.
• Report status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
• Assist owners rep with contract drafts, bidding, analysis and risk mitigation.
• Communicate to ensure quality construction meeting standards and processes.
• Review projects daily to ensure quality standards and manage multiple projects.

U-Haul International Inc. is seeking an experienced commercial Project Engineer for new multi-story self-storage projects and building reuse. The ideal candidate must be capable of preparing construction budgets, reviewing and assist cost estimating and project scheduling. Assist project owner's representative to resolve RFI's with contractors, architects, and engineers. Must be familiar with cast and place concrete, tilt panel construction, metal framing, standing seam metal roof and pre-engineered metal buildings.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Coordination with owner's representatives, contractors, architects/engineers and city officials.
• Project tracking, scheduling, on-site inspections, and project close-out.
• Experience with Microsoft programs, Teams, Project, Excel, etc
• Some travel required.
• Report job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
• Assist owners representative construction contract drafts, bid on projects, analyze, and mitigate risks.
• Communicate with the responsible parties to ensure quality construction meets or exceeds company standards and proper industry techniques and processes are utilized.
• Review projects on a daily basis to ensure quality construction standards.
• Must be capable of coordinating multiple projects.
• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in construction management.
• College degree preferred.
• Excellent resource, planning, and time management skill.
