Job summary

Maven Search Group LLC is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for heavy civil construction in New York City. The role focuses on coordinating subcontractors, managing documentation, and supporting budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting across bridges, highways, transit, marine and utilities.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in project engineering on heavy civil projects, with strong knowledge of drawings and contract documents, plus proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or MS

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of Project Engineering experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience on heavy civil projects such as roadway, bridge, utility, transit or infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs and contract documents.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with MS Office, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 and/or MS Project preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and field operations.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, scheduling, cost tracking and forecasting.
• Review plans, specifications and contract documents.
• Coordinate material procurement and deliveries.
• Attend project meetings with owners, engineers, inspectors and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and per contract.

Maven Search Group is representing one of New York City's premier Heavy Civil General Contractors in the search for an experienced Project Engineer. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-respected contractor with a strong backlog of work across bridges, highways, underground utilities, transit, marine, and other major infrastructure projects throughout the five boroughs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field operations.
