Project Engineer Heavy Civil – NV - - GREAT OPPORTUNITY

Location: Reno, Nevada | Travel to Projects in Surrounding Areas

Employment Type: Full-Time | Weekly Pay | Per Diem Available for Travel

Pay: $70,000 - $97,000

About the Role:

We’re seeking a skilled and driven Heavy Civil Project Engineer to be a boots-on-the-ground leader across large-scale dirt work and infrastructure projects. This is a high-responsibility, high-impact role with exposure to major projects across Utah and surrounding states.

What You’ll Do:

• Be the technical authority on-site: interpret plans, specs, subcontracts, and change orders
• Oversee field execution of grading, utility installation, formwork, and concrete/asphalt work
• Collaborate with engineers, owners, subs, and suppliers to solve issues in real time
• Own your procurement plan, submittal coordination, and change order processes
• Mentor junior field engineers and help lead project delivery from kickoff to closeout
• Monitor costs, schedules, and production to hit goals
• Travel to sites across Utah, Idaho, and Montana as needed

What You Bring:

• 4-year degree in construction-related field OR equivalent field experience
• 5+ years in Heavy Civil Construction
• Deep knowledge of construction sequencing, contracts, specs, and safety standards
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel and work on remote sites as needed
