Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD or similar CAD software to prepare detailed shop drawings for millwork fabrication.
• Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
• Visit construction job sites to verify measurements and dimensions as necessary.
• Perform material takeoffs and prepare cut lists.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all drawings and related materials.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the millwork industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, with minimum 1-3 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong spatial visualization skills and ability to work in both 2D and 3D.
• Proficiency in Excel, PDF manipulation, and other relevant software.
• Valid Texas Driver License.

Please Note

• This is not an entry-level position. Candidates with 1-3 years of AutoCAD experience and/or 1-3 years of experience as a millwork drafter will be considered. However, a certificate in drafting will be required for entry-level positions.
• The schedule for this position is 50+ hours per week, and you must be able to meet tight deadlines.
