Job summary

Fluence Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the technical execution and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects from concept through commissioning. Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in water/wastewater treatment or related industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar 3D modeling software.
  • Experience with automation of 3D CAD; familiarity with BioWin.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution and successful delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects from concept through commissioning. Acting as a bridge between engineering design and project implementation, this role combines technical expertise with project coordination skills to ensure that systems are designed, built, and installed to meet performance, safety, and quality standards. The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with process engineers, project managers, manufacturing teams, and external partners to bring engineered solutions to life.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in water/wastewater treatment, manufacturing, or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar 3D modeling software.
  • Experience with automation of 3D CAD
    Familiarity with process modeling software (e.g., BioWin).
  • Demonstrated experience executing engineering deliverables within project constraints.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support project execution and commissioning.
