Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering efforts across multiple projects and ensure seamless integration of aviation systems and components.
  • Maintain project scope and budget per SOW and customer requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks with proactive mitigation.
  • Provide accurate estimates to completion for ongoing projects and ensure timelines.
  • Prioritize project tasks based on urgency, importance, and resources.
  • Participate in technical meetings and reviews, offering insights to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop ROM and BOE documents.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers, PMs, and stakeholders for updates.
  • Conduct technical drawing reviews to support project development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in aviation integration and project management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing and coordinating engineering efforts on multiple projects, particularly in the context of government contracts. This position's level will be determined by the level of experience of the candidate.

Dutie
  • Manage and coordinate engineering efforts across multiple projects, ensuring seamless integration of aviation systems and components
  • Maintain project scope and budget in accordance with the statement of work (SOW) and customer requirements
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential issues
  • Provide accurate and timely estimates to completion for ongoing projects, ensuring adherence to established timelines
  • Prioritize project tasking based on urgency, importance, and resource availability
  • Actively participate in technical meetings and reviews, offering valuable insights and expertise to enhance project outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and Basis of Estimate (BOE) documents
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with customers, program managers, and stakeholders to address concerns and provide regular project updates
  • Conduct technical drawing reviews to support project development and documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in aviation integration projects, preferably with exposure to government contracts
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a significant plus
  • Proven experience in successfully managing and coordinating engineering efforts on complex projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address project challenges effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing reviews is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Flexibility and adaptability to evolving project requirements and priorities
