Job summary

Lamp Rynearson, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in the Kansas City, MO area to join our Civil Design team. You will design and implement public and private capital projects, prepare drawings and calculations, and support resilient community development.

You will lead project phases, mentor engineers, and produce clear design documentation while collaborating with clients and sub-consultants to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master’s is a plus).
  • PE license in any state (or ability to obtain licensure in KS or MO within 90 days of hire date).
  • 5+ years of proven experience in design development of stormwater, transportation, public and/or private engineering services.
  • Experience or familiarity with hydraulic modeling, CAD, and/or GIS is a plus.
  • Ability to prepare design computations, engineering letters, and technical reports.
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to work with internal teams and external partners on infrastructure layout.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Confidence in preparing client presentations, memos, reports, and construction contract documents.
  • Proactive attitude and commitment to an employee-owned culture.
  • Interest in professional societies and community involvement; active involvement preferred.

  • Dive into technical studies, collaborate with sub-consultants, and contribute to reports and analyses.
  • Work directly with clients to understand needs and deliver solutions to building strong relationships.
  • Get involved with local clients and business development opportunities to grow impact.

What You’ll Do

As part of our experienced water services team, you'll play a key role in planning, designing, and executing impactful public and private capital improvement and civil site projects. What You Bring to the Team

You’re a forward-thinking problem solver with a collaborative spirit and a desire to grow into leadership. Here’s what we’re looking for
