Job summary

Lamp Rynearson is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Design Group in Omaha, NE. You will guide projects from concept to completion in land development and infrastructure design, collaborating with clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree and a PE license with 4–8 years of experience, and can manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with 4–8 years of experience (or equivalent as a Project Engineer).
  • Experience in civil design plan development.
  • Ability to complete stormwater and sanitary drainage studies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design tasks from concept to completion.
  • Making critical design decisions and reviewing project deliverables.
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing• As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll be a key member of our team. Your experience will help guide both projects and people, from concept to completion. Responsibilities include:• Performing or delegating design tasks to project engineers and technicians• Making critical design decisions and reviewing project deliverables• Preparing correspondence, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates• Working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes

What We’re Looking For• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution• Registered Professional Engineer with 4–8 years of experience (or equivalent as a Project Engineer)• Experience in civil design plan development• Ability to complete stormwater and sanitary drainage studies• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D• Strong organizational, technical writing, and verbal communication skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively• A collaborative spirit — comfortable working independently or as part of a team• A knack for presenting ideas clearly, both in writing and in person
