Mechanical Project Engineer

Our Pittsburgh, PA based manufacturing client is expanding and looking to add amechanical design engineer to their team.The candidate will be responsible for mechanical design and drafting for customer specific capital equipment orders as well as creating BOM’s.

Key Job Requirements:

• Capital Equipment/Machine Design/Draftingin Pro E Wildfire 4.0 and SolidWorks 2021.
• Tooling/Fixture Design -Estimates and Designs tooling for various EH technologies.
• Create and maintain accurate change logs and issue logs during machine build process. Follow company ECN process to correct design issues.
• Support electrical and hydraulic schematic drafting in AutoCAD
• Support capital equipment machine start-up and debug/trouble shooting during all phases of the build.
• Support purchasing by communicating with vendors to ensure designs are manufactured efficiently as possible. Candidate will also support purchasing with technical details as necessary.
• Communicates with Project Management to ensure all customer expectations are considered in design phase.
• Maintains accurate records of tooling designs.

• Work with global team membersto support the design and fabrication of machines built at their sites.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of two (2) years’ 3D modeling and drafting experience with Pro-Engineer and SolidWorks
• Hands-on experience running machines and designing / assembling fixtures preferred
• Proficient Microsoft Office Applications, including Word,Excel and Microsoft Project
• Good written & oral communication skills
• Excellent organization skills / ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of SAP a plus
• Knowledge of various fabrication processes (i.e., machining, sheet metal, welding, etc.
