Job summary

TechDoQuest is seeking a Projects and Contractual Services Technical Regulations & Standards Engineer in Houston. You will provide compliance support for HD New Units, CM&U services, Aero CM&U, and all contractual services and outages, coordinating with cross-country regulatory bodies.

Key tasks include regulatory analyses, preparation of compliance specifications, and document reviews across ATEX/IECEx/CSA/CUTR, LVD, EMC, PED, and related tests.

Qualifications

• Experience with technical regulations and standards for power industry.
• Interaction with CE Notify Bodies and regulatory authorities.
• Experience reviewing TR&S assessments and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance analysis for vendor integration and issue resolution.
• Prepare compliance specifications, KOM with stakeholders, and deliverables.
• Liaise with project engineering/design teams for compliance questions.
• Review documents: DoC/DoI, EC-Type certificates, DoC, MTR, welding procedures.

Job Title: HD & Aero NU+CM&U Projects and Contractual services Technical Regulations & Standards Engineer

Location: Houston

Provide engineering support to the Gas Power Technical Compliance (GPTC) organization for Project TRS Compliance Engineer for HD New Units, HD Services (CM&U), Aero New Units and Services (CM&U) and for All Contractual Services & Outages role.

Job Description:

• Compliance analysis: vendor integration and resolving Compliance issues and mentoring stakeholders on necessary technical regulatory requirements and information (Americas, EMEA and Asia countries).
• Prepare information and conduct compliance KOM with stakeholders, Preparation of Compliance specifications, plan and associated deliverables. Third Party Co-ordination as required per the project scopeLiaison support for project engineering and design team for Compliance questions and clarifications.
• Liaison support for project engineering and design team for Compliance questions and clarifications.
• Review and validation of compliance documents such as & not limited to ATEX/IECEx/CSA/CUTR, LVD, EMC, PED Declaration of Conformity (DoC), Declaration of Incorporation (DoI), EC-Type examination certificate, Pressure Test Reports, Material Test Reports (MTR), Welding procedure, Welder qualification, Hardware Marking verifications.

PREREQUISITES:

• Experience on power plant (GT, ST and generator)
• Competencies and experience in technical regulations and associated standards
• Experience in interaction with CE Notify Bodies and regulatory authorities
• Experience in working on TR&S assessments and documentation collection reviews.
• Experience with ERP systems for parts compliance
• Experience in designing equipment placed in Hazardous area.

Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
