Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed Project Engineer in Electrical Engineering who brings deep, hands‑on substation and power generation expertise, along with proven technical leadership, to the design, development, and execution of complex electrical infrastructure projects. This role serves as a senior technical authority, leading engineering activities from concept through commissioning, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and compliance.

If You Are:
  • Deeply interested in supporting the transition to clean, renewable energy.
  • A driven, detail‑oriented professional seeking a meaningful career growth opportunity.
  • Proud of delivering high‑quality engineering work.
  • Flexible and excited to work in a small, collaborative, high‑impact team.
  • A continuous learner who thrives on expanding technical knowledge.
  • A critical thinker who transforms technical information into clear, compelling communication.
  • A direct, thoughtful communicator who values strong, respectful working relationships.
You Will:
  • Lead the full engineering lifecycle of MV/HV power generation and interconnection projects—from early scoping through detailed electrical design, procurement support, construction oversight, and commissioning.
  • Serve as a senior lead technical and engineering authority for substation, protection, and power generation systems, providing PE‑level review, and final design approval.
  • Review, develop, and integrate engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations across electrical, mechanical, and controls/SCADA disciplines for substations, switchyards, protection and relaying schemes, and systems including natural gas‑fired generation and battery energy storage (BESS).
  • Conduct formal electrical design reviews at key milestones (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC), with particular attention to MV and HV equipment, protection, and grounding design, and drive timely resolution of technical comments.
  • Lead technical support for utility interconnection activities, including interconnection studies, utility protection requirements, relay settings review, commissioning coordination, and compliance with utility and ISO requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external engineers, OEMs, and construction partners to ensure adherence to design requirements, safety standards, performance expectations, and equipment specifications.
  • Lead multi‑disciplinary engineering teams and coordinate work across internal stakeholders, consultants, EPC partners, OEMs, and operations personnel.
  • Lead technical evaluations of bids and vendor proposals, including switchgear, transformers, protection systems, natural gas reciprocating engines, and instrumentation.
