Job summary

Salmon & Associates, now part of Keystone’s family, seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer for Houston, TX. You will coordinate multi-discipline engineering and interface with clients to define scope and status.

Requirements include a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ABET), 5–15 years of mechanical engineering experience, and at least 2+ years as a project engineer, with strong communication and organizational skills. Equal opportunity employer; travel to sites on occasion.

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 5 - 15 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of project engineer experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering and design activities.
  • Communicate with clients and third parties regarding project scope, status, and technical interface issues.
  • Provide concise, factual project designs, allowing effective construction/installation.
  • Work with other engineers, designers, construction QA/QC, and contractor.
  • Check drawings and calculations.
  • Visit client sites to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions.

Salmon is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Houston, TX

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary

Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits

Essential Functions
