Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Manager to oversee architectural, construction, and facilities projects in the United States. You will lead planning, design management, procurement, construction, and close-out, coordinating design professionals, general contractors, and stakeholders to meet budget and schedule targets.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or civil engineering and 4–7+ years of experience, with strong judgment and a proven delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, civil engineering, or related field.
  • 4–7+ years of experience with architectural, construction management, or facilities teams; public works experience is a plus.
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment and resolve complex procedural/technical problems.
  • Proven track record delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently from planning to close-out.
  • Provide proactive planning and project management to coordinate teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement, planning, design management, and construction activities to meet schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate design professionals, general contractors, and construction managers and review changes and pay applications.
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, contracts, and addenda; maintain health and safety culture on projects.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to oversee several projects at the same time.
  • Provide proactive planning and project management to assist project teams and ensure project coordination among all parties and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage a project from planning through construction including initial planning, design management, contract review, construction procurement, construction management, and close-out.
  • Manage project procurement activities. Coordinate and obtain all necessary regulatory permits.
  • Manages/Coordinate design professionals, general contractors, and construction manager partners and oversee their work.
  • Develops and adheres to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan.
  • Manages both internal and external risks within the project’s lifetime.
  • Contribute to culture of health and safety on the projects.
  • Has ability to perform project inspection on site, verifying that necessary inspections and testing are performed and documented.
  • Hold project meetings as required and disseminate information and action items.
  • Monitors contractor progress against baseline schedule. Primavera P6 experience is a plus.
  • Reviews of contractors change order requests.
  • Review and approve contractor pay applications.
  • Manages project turnover documents and project closeout.
  • Ability to interpret and understand construction documentation including plans, specifications, contracts, and related addenda.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-7 or more years of experience with an architectural, construction management, or facilities team; public works experience is a plus.
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment and be capable of anticipating, analyzing, appraising, evaluating, and resolving problems of a difficult procedural, organizational, administrative or technical nature.
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality projects on time and within budget as a necessity.
  • Be organized, deliberate and thorough, with the ability to relate complex processes and concepts.
