Job summary

Henkel is seeking a project engineer in Greenville, SC to support planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects within the Adhesive Technologies unit. You will help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget while coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

You will assist with basic and detailed engineering, generate purchase orders, manage equipment and materials, and participate in safety programs and startup activities to drive site improvements and reliable operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects while helping ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Assist with basic and detailed engineering for large capital projects executed by the regional group.
• Generate purchase orders and manage the tracking, storage, and coordination of project equipment and materials.
• Coordinate daily activities between contractors and internal operations, participate in contractor meetings, and provide construction oversight as needed.
• Conduct field verification of installations against P&IDs, equipment specification sheets, and engineering design drawings to ensure accurate execution.
• Support process safety and compliance initiatives, including Safe Work Permits, risk assessments, HAZOPs, MOCs, PSSRs, and other safety-related programs.
• Assist with equipment commissioning, startup activities, and ongoing engineering and operational improvement initiatives across the site.
