Job summary

Syblon Reid is seeking a Field Project Engineer to support onsite project managers and field crews in California. You will help ensure safety programs, manage submittals, RFIs, and project scheduling, and track field production and costs.

The role requires travel and coordination with subcontractors and field staff. Ideal candidates have 1–5 years in heavy civil field roles, strong writing skills, and proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, Primavera, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-5 years of experience as a Field Project Engineer in heavy civil construction.
  • Proficient in MS Project, Excel and Word. Heavy Bid and Heavy Job preferred. Primavera and AutoCAD desirable.
  • Strong written communications skills.
  • Problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Positive communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Physical requirements include being able to lift and carry 75 lbs. and walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Must possess current driver’s license and maintain acceptable driving record according to company standards. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Must be available for overnight travel.
