Job summary

Sachse Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for Detroit, MI with a Civil Engineering degree and at least two years’ related experience. You will support engineering issues, manage documentation, and handle RFIs/submittals while coordinating with Project Managers and field teams.

Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, PlanGrid, Bluebeam Revu, Revit, AutoCAD, Planswift, Adobe PDF and MS Excel is required. Location is Detroit and other sites across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Two years of experience in project engineering/related roles.
• Experience using Primavera P6, MS Project, PlanGrid, Bluebeam Revu, Revit, AutoCAD, Planswift, Adobe PDF, and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for resolution of engineering issues and document project information.
• Process RFIs and submittals, identify lead times, and track delivery.
• Lead closeout, process bulletins and subcontractor change requests; manage documents.
• Assist Project Manager with documents and meeting minutes; support field management.
• Utilize Primavera P6, MS Project, PlanGrid, Bluebeam Revu, Revit, AutoCAD, Planswift, Adobe PDF, and MS Excel.
• Maintain communication with internal and external customers; support QA/QC and progress reporting.

Responsibilities

Duties:

Responsible for providing technical support for resolution of engineering issues, and documenting project information for record keeping and use during job; process RFIs, submittals, identify lead time, and track delivery; lead the closeout process; process bulletins, subcontractor change requests, and manage documents; assist Project Manager with project documents and meetings minutes; utilize Primavera P6, MS Project, PlanGrid, Bluebeam Revu, Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Planswift, Adobe PDF, and MS Excel to perform duties; assist Superintendent with field management; build jobs on paper; maintain regular communication with internal and external customers; responsible for quality assurance and quality control through creation and tracking of punch list; perform contract drafting; and responsible for visual documentation and project progress reports.

Location: Detroit, MI and various unanticipated worksites throughout the US;

Salary: $85,000 per year;

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Engineering Management, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as an Assistant Project Manager, as a Civil Engineer, or in a related occupation;

Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years' use of all the following: Primavera P6, MS Project, PlanGrid, Bluebeam Revu, Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Planswift, Adobe PDF, and MS Excel.

Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

REFERRAL GUIDELINES & BONUS AMOUNTS

• You are eligible for a referral bonus only when you refer external candidates and they are hired.


• Referrals must be submitted before the candidate begins the interview process.


• Referrals of candidates who are hired as contract team members are not eligible for referral bonuses.


• As the referrer, you must be employed with The Enterprise at the time the bonus is to be paid.


• Team members involved in the hiring decision for a particular position are not eligible for referral bonuses (Leadership, Managers and People & Perks).


• Referrals of candidates expire after 12 months.


• Referrals of candidates that have previously applied with The Enterprise are not eligible for referral bonuses.


• Only one referral bonus will be given per candidate. If a candidate is referred by more than one team member, the first referral received will be given priority, however, due to timing and relationships the bonus may need to be split between the first and second referrer.Leadership and People & Perks are the final decision maker.


• Referral bonuses may not be transferred to another active team member.


• Leadership and People & Perks have the final determination and sole and absolute discretion for all referral disbursements and have the right to revoke a referral bonus.


• All referral bonuses are paid through the payroll system and are treated as compensation and therefore are subject to taxation and deductions.


• Referral bonuses are based on which company the candidate is referred and hired by.


• Referral bonus amounts are subject to change. You will receive the amount that is specified at the time you submit your referral regardless of the method it is received (this includes referrals received via email or any other method outside this form).

Referral Bonus Amounts

• If the candidate you refer is hired, you may receive a referral bonus of $2,500 (unless otherwise noted) after the new team member has worked for 90 days.
