Job summary

The Waldinger Corporation in Des Moines, IA is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to drive projects from plan to finish. You’ll coordinate schedules, perform technical reviews, and guide field teams to deliver work on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Coordination: Help build and carry out project plans and schedules, submit RFIs, manage documentation, and keep activities and resources on track.
• Engineering Support: Run technical calculations and analyses, review drawings and specifications for accuracy, and guide field teams on construction methods.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship and materials, conduct inspections and audits, and recommend fixes when issues come up.
• Cost Control: Track labor, material, and equipment costs against the budget, and help find and put in place cost-saving measures.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a clear point of contact for team members, subcontractors, and clients, solving problems and resolving issues as they arise.
• Client Network: Grow your professional network through client events, industry conferences, local associations, and mentorship from experienced Project Managers.

Education
