Overview

We are seeking a Project Engineer for a 1-year contract in Denver, CO to lead the design, modeling, development, and testing of machines, structures, and systems within a plant environment. This role involves managing projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness while collaborating with cross-functional teams and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop functional requirements and apply standard engineering principles.
• Create simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs.
• Design and test components; integrate components into final products.
• Monitor product quality and process efficiency.
• Evaluate designs for effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
• Investigate causes of failures and recommend improvements.
• Manage projects cradle-to-grave, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
• Develop project plans, charters, and manage budgets effectively.
• Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Work with plant teams and external contractors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
• Other engineering fields considered if relevant to plant operations.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or plant environment (power plant preferred).
• Project management experience, including budget management and contractor oversight.
• Familiarity with design principles, simulations, and testing processes.
• Proficiency in project planning and financial management.
