Our client is a premier commercial concrete contractor with a strong presence throughout the Midwest. Their portfolio includes high-rise office towers, healthcare institutions, university campuses, warehouses, parking decks, data centers, and other technically demanding concrete structures. As part of their ongoing expansion, they are currently hiring a Project Engineer to join their growing team. This entry-level position provides immersive training and mentorship, laying the groundwork for a successful career in concrete construction. Most Project Engineers earn promotions within their first year. Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with managers and mentors to understand project scope, timelines, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Contribute to the development of work plans and execution strategies; track progress and adapt based on performance and feedback.
Monitor daily safety practices, quality assurance, and execution of assigned tasks.
Gain hands-on field experience by participating in daily planning and construction operations.
Provide support to both field and office teams, with responsibilities that may include:
Estimating and quantity take-offs
Field engineering (line and grade)
Formwork for walls and columns
Structural slab preparation and forming
Slab-on-grade and slab-on-metal-deck setup
Concrete placement and finishing
Loadouts, inspections, and production tracking
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
