Mars Snacking North America is seeking a Regional Project Engineer to lead capital projects from ideation to closeout. You will oversee projects in distribution, packaging, warehousing, and related areas, driving performance under the Engineering Work Process with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and travel (30–50%), with opportunities for international assignments. Based at one of several U.S.

Formación

• BS degree in Engineering.
• 4+ years’ experience in a comparable technical position in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
• Proven track record in executing capital projects >$1M.
• Demonstrated ability to manage consultants and contractors in a factory environment.
• Deep understanding of processing engineering principles.
• Prior knowledge and experience in food safety.
• Strong communication, listening, and influencing skills.
• 30–50% travel requirement (site location dependent); potential for international travel.

Job Description:

This Regional Project Engineering role will be a part of the Mars Snacking North America Process engineering team. This role will be responsible for all aspects of planning and executing projects from ideation to project closure. The scope could include leading and/or supporting large capital projects from product distribution, packaging, palletizing, and warehousing, depending on business needs. The role owns the overall leadership of process projects via the Mars Snacking Engineering Execution Standard.

This role will be based out of one of the following sites Battle Creek, MI; Cary, NC; Jackson, TN; Kansas City, KC; Chicago, IL

What are we looking for?

Minimum:

• BS degree in Engineering
• 4+ years’ experience in a comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry
• Proven track record in successfully executing capital projects of greater than $1M value
• Demonstrated ability to safely manage consultant engineering firms as well as mechanical and electrical installation contractors in a factory environment
• Proven deep understanding of processing engineering principles
• Prior knowledge and experience in food safety
• Strong communication, listening, and influencing skills
• 30 - 50% travel requirement (depending on site location) IS A MUST, with the opportunity of international travel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge with hygienic design in Industrial Bakery operations

• Communicate and collaborate with all Stakeholders and other functions (R&D, Quality, Commercial, Finance) to ensure capital project objectives are clearly defined and achieved
• Ensure delivery of scope, timeline, budget, and cash flow for all assigned engineering projects in accordance with the Engineering Work Process (EWP)
• Onsite management of contractors and OEMs during installation Including creating and ensuring a safe work environment for contractors and associates
• Leadership through commissioning, validation, and startup of equipment
