Job summary

Reed Construction's Chicago Headquarters is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Project Management Operations team. You’ll support project schedules, budgets, vendor pricing, and documentation across multiple projects.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Management, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to use Procore and Microsoft Project. Office-based with occasional on-site visits; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Management.
• Basic understanding of construction techniques, drawings, and materials.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to learn and use project management software like Procore and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of project schedules and budgets.
• Work with vendors to gather pricing and ensure timely follow-up.
• Perform estimates, takeoffs, and manage project documentation.
• Track construction materials, equipment, and project progress.
• Attend project meetings, record notes, and keep teams aligned.
• Assist in gathering and distributing closeout documents for project completion.
• Perform additional assignments per the Project Manager's or the Superintendent's direction.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 annually
