Job summary

Overwatch Construction Management is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of various construction projects, from inception to completion. The Project Engineer start date is 1/1/2027.

The applicant must be available to be on site in Chattanooga, TN. Salary range: $70,000-$80,000. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in construction management, owner's representative services, project engineering, or construction administration.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques and materials.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical and administrative support to the construction manager.
• Manage project document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, ASIs).
• Organize and maintain project files.
• Review change order requests for merit and fair pricing; prepare change orders for processing.
• Assist with closeout and turnover processes.
• Support site conditions verification as needed.

As a leading project and construction management firm, Overwatch is committed to providing exceptional services and delivering high-quality projects for our clients. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of various construction projects, from inception to completion. The Project Engineer start date is 1/1/2027. The applicant must be available to be on site in Chattanooga, TN.

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical and administrative support to the construction manager.
• Responsible for project document control, i.e. RFIs, submittals, change orders, ASIs, etc.
• Organize and maintain project files
• Assist CM with change order management. The PE shall be able to independently review change order requests for merit and fair pricing, and prepare change orders for processing.
• Manage the closeout and turn over process.
• Assist CM to prepare project files for audit at project completion.
• Site conditions verification and support as needed.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in construction management, owner's representative services, project engineering, or construction administration
• Experience supporting large capital construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and materials
• Proficient in construction management software, such as Procore or Primavera P6
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
• Ability to obtain project-required security credentials and background clearances
