Job summary

Pacific Rim Mechanical is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to begin a career in Project Management, with a clear path to Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager and Senior Project Manager.

The role supports leading and coordinating HVAC, Plumbing and Process Piping installations, ensuring the scope is well represented, equipment and materials are on site, and obstacles are resolved to bring projects in on or under budget across multiple concurrent engagements.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or relevant trade experience.
• Self-directed and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project scope is represented, obstacles resolved, and projects stay on or under budget.

Job description

The Project Engineer is an entry level position into the Project Management field. It is a career path to becoming an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager and Senior Project Manager.

Typical Duties

• The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager with leading, managing and coordinating the installation of the HVAC, Plumbing and Process Piping Systems of the project.
• Verifying that the scope of work is adequately represented, facilitating in the construction of the project, assisting in all project aspects, ensuring that all equipment and materials are on the job site when needed, identifying and resolving obstacles related to the project for the purposes of closing out the project according to the approved schedule and for bringing in the job on or under budget.
• Works on multiple projects concurrently.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience

• BS Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or relevant trade experience
• Self- Directed/motivated

Salary Range

$75,000 to $85,000 annually depending on trade or experience at previous employer (FLSA Non Exempt)
