Job summary

Harper Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for a military project located in California. The role supports the Project Manager and Superintendent to maintain safety, schedules, and effective coordination across trades.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent, plus strong computer skills and the ability to read drawings. Procore experience is preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Procore document control system experience is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and software literacy.

Responsibilities

• Emphasize safety during daily project responsibilities.

• Develop and update project schedule with Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Promote sustainable construction and coordinate LEED requirements.
• Maintain project progress photographs.
• Collaborate with PM in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
• Monitor material deliveries and ensure adherence to schedule.
• Understand contract documents and facilitate communication among the project team.
• Manage project close-out, including warranty letters and acceptance of work.

Responsibilities

• Emphasize safety during the performance of all daily project responsibilities.
• Create, manage, process and log RFIs and submittals.
• Develop and update project schedule with Project Manager and Superintendent
• Promote sustainable construction and coordinating project LEED requirements.

• Develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the contract documents.

• Manage project close-out, including warranty letters, guarantees, and acceptance of work.

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with reading drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of Procore document control system.

Compensation and Benefits

• $75,000 to $95,000 salary range
  • The offered rate will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience.
• This position is eligible for our benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance. We also offer a 401(k) plan with company match, company paid holidays and vacation.
