Job summary

Nevell Group, a commercial construction contractor, is seeking a Project Engineer to support field operations, manage documentation, and help meet cost, schedule, and quality goals for drywall and framing projects in a team environment.

The role collaborates with Project Managers, Superintendents, and trade partners to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. Strong communication and reading of drawings are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field OR 2+ years of equivalent experience in commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in day-to-day project coordination.
• Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, drawings, and close-out materials.
• Assist with job site safety procedures, compliance, and documentation.
• Monitor labor production, budgets, and schedules; prepare regular progress reports.
• Help develop and track punch lists to ensure timely completion.
• Review plans, specifications, and blueprints to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain effective communication between the project team, clients, architects, and subcontractors.
• Support business development and maintain strong client relationships.

Position Summary

Nevell Group is looking for a motivated Project Engineer with a strong interest in commercial construction and project management. In this role, you’ll support project teams by coordinating field operations, managing documentation, and ensuring cost, schedule, and quality goals are met.
