Hensel Phelps is seeking a Project Engineer to lead on-site project administration and supervise the office engineers and jobsite administrator in Bethesda, MD. The PE will directly manage project financials, planning, and scheduling while coordinating with owners and trade partners to meet project goals.
Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk, plus Excel templates, BIM/VDC specs, are required.

Annual Base Salary Range: $84,360.00 - $93,240.00 USD (Virginia only)
The Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for all on‑site project administration and for management of the office engineers and jobsite administrator. The PE has direct responsibility for project financials, planning and scheduling, for supervision of personnel and for completion of tasks required to fulfill the project’s goals. This position requires an extraordinary level of attention to detail as well as the proficient use of project management tools and software. A project engineer works with stakeholders at all levels and will be required to negotiate with owners, suppliers and trade partners in resolving disputes and managing changes.
Moderate Work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
A 4‑year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
