Job summary

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to join our on-site Project Management Team. You will support contract setup, submittals, bid package processes, change orders, and project scheduling while collaborating with clients and teammates to deliver safe, quality results.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience with RFIs, drawings, and close-out activities, and a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent (or 8 years of related experience).

Qualifications

• 1-3 years creating documentation such as RFIs and client correspondence on contract provisions.
• 1-3 years reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the associated specs.
• 1-3 years experience with project close out.
• Bachelor's Degree – Construction Management, Engineering, or similar or 8 years of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle contract setup, submittals, and assist with bid package process.
• Assist with scheduling of the project and manage change orders.
• Maintain strong client communication and service throughout the project lifecycle.

The Project Engineer works on-site within the Project Management Team and is responsible for contract setup, submittals, assisting with the bid package process, change orders and assisting with the scheduling of the project. The Project Management Team can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the projects, which in turn will affect the number of responsibilities the Project Engineer will be involved in. The Project Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Project Engineer Required Qualifications:

• 1-3 Years of experience creating documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
• 1-3 years of reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings. Able to outline specifications required for submission to clients and ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.
• 1-3 years expereince with project close out.
• Bachelor's Degree – Construction Management, Engineering, or similar or 8 years of equivalent experience
