Job summary

Apollo Mechanical Contractors in Bend, OR is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project management team with documentation, budgets, schedules, and coordination with subcontractors.

You will handle RFIs, submittals, and change orders, track purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery of equipment and materials while communicating clearly with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication and ability to apply technical concepts.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and ability to read specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support project management with documentation such as RFIs, change orders, ASIs, submittals, QA/QC.
• Manage jobsite logistics, including office supplies and badging/orientation paperwork.
• Coordinate deliveries of equipment and material.
• Assemble estimates and budgets; manage subcontractors and vendors.
• Attend project meetings and track purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Update project schedules and craft productivity tracking.

Job description

The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting a project management team with the following tasks including but not limited to:

• Jobsite documentation (RFIs, change orders, ASIs, supplemental design documentation, QA/QC, submittals, etc.)
• Manage jobsite logistics such as office supplies and badging/orientation paperwork
• Coordinate deliveries of equipment and material
• Assemble estimates and budgets
• Manage subcontractors and vendors
• Attend project meetings
• Write and track purchase orders and subcontracts
• Update project schedules
• Craft productivity tracking

Skills Required

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Proficient with learning and applying technical concepts
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and deadlines
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Display diplomacy and tact in collaborating with a wide variety of colleagues, customers, and suppliers
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems
• Capable of reading and comprehending project specifications and technical drawings

Education and Experience
