Job summary

Motive Companies, LLC in Bellflower, CA is seeking a Project Engineer to join a reliable commercial construction team. You will assist the Project Manager with coordinating with subcontractors, field supervisors, owners, and architects to ensure project quality and timely completion.

The role covers submittal evaluations, RFIs, scheduling, procurement, and change order documentation, with a typical schedule 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, onsite at Bellflower.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field with 3+ years as a Project Engineer at GC, or 5+ years experience.
• Strong technical and administrative skills and ability to stay organized.
• Ability to multitask and coordinate across project facets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Sage 300 CRE.

This position is responsible for evaluating submittals and RFIs to support construction activities and helping resolve design and field issues. The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in coordinating with subcontractors, field supervisors, owner representatives, and architects to ensure quality and timely project completion.

Project Engineering Responsibilities

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• A combination of a bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management, Building Construction, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer at a GC; or 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer at a GC
• Strong technical and administrative skills with the ability to stay organized
• Ability to multitask and coordinate work across several facets of a project
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Sage 300 CRE, and other project-related software
• Valid California Driver's License and driving record suitable for company insurance requirements
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
